NDA 2018 Application Form, Eligibility, admit card and Results

NDA 2018: National Defense Academy is popularly known as NDA which invites admission for the different post in Indian Army, Indian Navy, and Indian Air force. The examination is held each year twice which is being organized and administered by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). The exam is divided into NDA-1 and NDA-2 papers. These exams are being held at the nation level thus all the aspirants across Indian seeking admission into NDA can apply online through NDA application form 2018. Following are in depth details regarding NDA 2018 exams eligibility, admissions, exam patterns etc.

NDA Exam 2018 important dates:

Following are the important dates regarding UPSC NDA 2018 exams. Students should keep in mind that these are only tentative dates thus they are advised to visit the official website for updates.

Eligibility criteria for NDA exam 2018:

All the candidates who wish to apply for the NDA entrance exam need to fulfill the below mentioned conditions only then they will be allowed to appear in the examination. All the students are advised to carefully go through all these points to be eligible for UPSC NDA 2018 exams;

(A) Nationality:

  • An aspirant will be eligible only when he belongs to Indian origins or Bhutan/Nepal
  • All those aspirants who are Tibetan refugees are also eligible only when they shifter to India before 1st January, 1962 with the solo intention to settle in India permanently.

(B) Age Limit and Marital Status:

  • For NDA-I- aspirants will fall under eligibility criteria only when they are born after 1st July, 2002
  • For NDA-II, all the aspirants will fall under eligibility only when thy are born after 1stJanuary, 2003
  • Candidates should note that age proof in this case will be taken as that mentioned on their class 10th certificate.
  • It is also mandatory for the candidates that they should be unmarried only then they will be eligible.

 (C) Educational qualification:

  • Army wing: all those students who want to join the army wing must have qualified their 10+2 exams form a recognized university or board
  • For Air Force and Naval Wings- all those who want to join Air Force and Navy aspirants must have cleared their 10+2 exams with PCM as main subjects.
  • Appearing candidates are also eligible for NDA 2018 exams

 (D) Physical Standard:

  • All the applicants must meet all the physical standards that are being mentioned by the National Defense Academy and Naval Academy Examination 2018.

NDA Application Form 2018:

Following are the details regarding NDA application form 2018 & examinations.

  • Students can apply or get the application form for NDA 2018 exam only from the official website of NDA.
  • The expected date for the release of application form is by the month of January 2018 for NDA-1 and by June for NDA -2.
  • Candidates need to register them on the website which is divided into two parts. Part 1 of the registration involves filling of personal details by the candidates whereas the second part involves the provision of Registration number by the board and filling of application form and payment of application fees.
  • During this process, candidates are also required to upload their photograph and signature.
  • Once all the steps are over candidate can print duly filled in NDA application form 2018 for further purposes.

Application Fee:

Candidates belonging to general & OBC category are required to pay application fee i.e.  Rs 100 whereas candidates belonging to other reserved categories are not required to pay any fee. The candidate can pay their application fees either online through debit cards/credit cards / net banking or through offline mode by SBI challan.

UPSC NDA 2018 Exam Pattern:

  • The exam will comprise of multiple choice types questions
  • The exam will be based on pen and paper mode
  • In the exam students will be given a total of Two and half hour to complete their paper.
  • The paper is divided into two sections comprising of subjects like Mathematics and General Ability Test
  • The exam will be held in two languages i.e. English & Hindi only.
  • Students should also note that paper will comprise of negative markings for every wrong answer.

Syllabus for NDA 2018 Exam

Two papers will be asked in NDA exam both the papers will contain different subjects. NDA-1 will comprise of Mathematics which will contain topics like Algebra, Trigonometry, Matrices, Analytical Geometry etc. whereas the NDA-2 will contain General Ability Test this paper will contain questions from Basic knowledge, Physics, English, Chemistry, General Science, History, Geography and Current Affairs.

NDA admit card 2018 (Details):

All the candidates will be able to download their nda admit card once it gets released by the board conducting the exam. Admit card will be available only on the official website of UPSC as it will not be sent to any candidate via email or post. All the candidates are required to carry their admit card on the date of the exam as without admit card no one will be allowed to enter the exam hall.

NDA Result 2018 (Details):

Once the UPSC exams are over the board conducting the exam i.e. UPSC will be releasing the results. These results will be released on the official website of UPSC. Candidates can view and download their NDA results by providing unique identification details as provided at the time of registration. All the candidates who clear the merit list will be called for counseling.
